When looking at online sources, it's important to evaluate if they meet your standards. The quality of a source is relative and will depend on the context. Always check your assignment criteria. Sometimes, a website may not be a suitable option at all.

The CRAAP tool is one way for you to evaluate sources. CRAAP stands for: Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, Purpose. It's also useful to open a new tab to learn more about a website and the claims made there. This is called lateral reading. Check out the guide linked below for more information.

If you are not sure about your source, ask a librarian or your professor for help.
