Tipasa is one of two interlibrary loan systems Phillips Library uses. We also participate in I-Share, which shares books between participating academic libraries in Illinois.

Tipasa is a great service to utilize when you are needing access to an article or book. This service is typically used when you are not able to find a book through the Phillips Library or I-Share, or you encounter that an article is not available in the library's database.

Tipasa article requests are typically fulfilled in 1-2 business days. A Tipasa book request may take a bit longer due to the other lending library having to process the material and is usually shipped through USPS.

Note: Be mindful to make requests a head of time to avoid any delays in completing an assignment or research project.

To request a book or article, go to your Tipasa Account which is linked under the search box on the library's home page.

If prompted, log in with your AU credentials. Complete a form to request the article or book.

If the article or book request can be filled, you will receive an email with the article or an email notifying you your book is ready to be picked up.
